Bike Sharing Program in Honolulu by 2015

I can't wait to see the results of all the improvements happening in Honolulu - the rail system, new condo development, car sharing and now bike sharing program. Honolulu is morphing into a true cosmopolitan catching up with cities like New York and Los Angeles.

"The city of Honolulu is moving forward with plans to roll out a bike sharing program by 2015.

Up to 180 stations would be placed across the city, from Chinatown to Waikiki to the University of Hawaii, that would hold up to 1,700 bikes for residents and tourists to use, said Shem Lawlor, transit-oriented development planner with the Honolulu Department of Planning and Permitting."
