International Marketplace in Waikiki Closed

International Marketplace Bid Farewell to Hawaii after 60 years.

It's sad to see this landmark of Waikiki close. My family used to go there a lot. Sometimes we just walk to the food court for a quick dinner, or sometimes we just walk around checking out street performers and shopping.

You find all kinds of knickknacks and Hawaiian souvenirs in International Market Place that you can't find anywhere else. Like a bobble hip overweight Hula girl.

The International Marketplace is definitely a unique place special to Waikiki. I love Saks Fifth Avenue too, but it won't be the same...
