Queen Elizabeth is now the world’s oldest living monarch

(CNN) – Great Britain's Queen Elizabeth II is now the world's oldest living monarch still on the throne. Saudi King Abdullah was 90 years old when he died on Thursday. Queen Elizabeth will turn 89 in April. In February, she will mark 63 years on the throne. Queen Elizabeth will achieve another milestone in September, she will surpass her great-great-grandmother, Queen Victoria, as the longest-reigning British monarch ever.
